Position Title: Director, Business Development (DBD)
Reports To: Vice President, Sales
Position Summary:
Generate revenue by selling national programs to key clients. Build business partnerships by acting as marketing consultant with significant industry knowledge. Develop, present and design programs that drive client sales efficiently and effectively. This includes developing and maintaining strong business relationships with current and prospects clients; the DBD must be an effective overall business manager.
Sample of Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve annual revenue goals for accounts leading to a total goal attainment.
- Renew over 90% of existing business each year.
- Develop, refine and execute an annual business plan to reach objectives.
- Manage regular revenue forecasts.
- Consult with VP of Sales on strategy and tactics regarding specific accounts and growth while regularly reporting revenue forecast.
- Develop mid-level to senior relationships at all accounts within territory.
- Negotiate legal and business contract terms with clients.
- Business management including accounts receivables and on-time program management leading to revenue growth.
- Able to understand several categories and make recommendations to address strategic brand initiatives.

Education:
College degree or higher.
Experience:
5+ years of previous sales management experience and will need to have an established successful sales track record and appropriate customer relationship success. Preferable backgrounds include any of the following:
- Pharmaceutical products sales experience
- Consumer package goods/OTC sales experience
- Brand/product management experience

- Pharmaceutical and/or trade management experience
